Give Clean Water partnered with the Volcom Fiji Pro this past week as part of their Clean Water Initiative. “Sustainable Surf Tourism is a strong theme we’d like to communicate, and that will be very apparent through Athlete x Community Involvement through Giving Back to the Village Day.” In partnership with Volcom and Tavarua Resort, clean water was provided to 2 most local villages to the famous Cloudbreak surf spot. Volcom and Tavarua Resort staff, along with some of the competitors, including contest winner, Kelly Slater, and CJ Hobgood, participated in a day of service and support for the local community. Filters were provided to 64 homes in Momi Village, 73 homes in Nabila Village and two local schools. The surfers were joined by Santa Fe Christian School Chamber Chorale team that was in Fiji providing clean water to local schools.
